St. Pattys Day is upon us once again. I’ve come up with a list of some fun things to do over the next week to help celebrate the day! So grab your green attire and go check them out!
First up is York’s 28th annual St.Patricks Day Parade. It is this Saturday March, 12. It starts at Market & Penn St. and then proceeds east on Market to the block between Duke & Queen Sts.
It is recommended that you arrive early and use a blanket or chairs to reserve your spot along the route. There are also many activities and performances scheduled before and after the parade so make sure to check them out!
Next up is the Harrisburg St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It will take place on Saturday March 19 at 2pm. It starts at Strawberry Square and proceeds up 2nd St. A few of my friends are apart of The John F. Nicoll Pipe Band so make sure to keep an eye out for them!
Finally,Browns Orchard in Emigsville will be having a Pot O’ Gold event for kids. Its from 11am-1pm and the cost is $5 per child. Pre-registration is recommended, it is limited to the first 100 kids. Parents and kids will team up and follow clues to lead them to the leprechaun and his pot of gold. There will also be a lunchtime concert from 12:30-1pm. The same event will be held on March 20th at the Loganville location. Pre registration is recommended there as well.
